Abstract

This technical report from the Melbourne Waterway Research-Practice Partnership examines the long-term effectiveness of Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) assets, specifically rainwater tanks, on private residential land. It highlights how conventional urban development negatively impacts waterway health and emphasises that addressing these impacts is likely to require managing stormwater in both the public and private domains.
